Meltybrains? have garnered a reputation for their unabashed creativity, picking up a loyal following that has helped them sell out shows across Ireland, the UK and the US. For one night only, they’re joining forces with visual projection artists Algorithm for a gig that must be seen to be believed.

The Abbey Theatre, founded by W.B. Yeats and Lady Gregory, first opened its doors in 1904 to ‘bring upon the stage the deeper thoughts and emotions of Ireland’. Since then, it has played a vital and often controversial role in the literary, social and cultural life and landscape of Ireland. The Abbey’s reputation for presenting world-class productions has made it an ambassador for Irish arts and culture at home and abroad.

In association with Dublin Fringe Festival, Dublin City Council and Arts Council Ireland

Algorithm created a giant 5m tall mask to projection map content for 20 Meltybrains? songs.
We also did a series of performance captures of the band and used the data to create a talking Meltybrains? Mask.

Video documentation and process video coming soon…
