The latest project for Cogs & Marvel consisted of creating a series of large scale stage designs and interactive games for a huge event in the RDS in Dublin. The show was based around retro themes, bringing the attendee into a different decade in every room.
BRIEF
This event was to be spread over a number of different large indoor halls, which each would have an installation and different experience inspired by a different decade in music history.
THE IDEA
We created an interactive maze game, a Rubix Cube inspired light installation and a one of a kind reflective disco ball reflective stage design which filled the entire main hall with fragments of light.
RESULT
The one way mirror facade for the LED screen was a massive success. The design allowed for the visuals to be clearly seen when the LEDs were illuminated and the mirror reflected any stray light beams back into the crowd for added effect. Our bespoke pacman style game using LED floor panels was enjoyed by hundreds across the event of the night and the proved to be one of the highlights of the evening. There was 5,000 people at the event.
