Saint Sister and Lisa Hannigan’s collaboration on ‘The Place That I Work’ is an intimate and touching song that gives us goosebumps every time we listen.
BRIEF
Saint Sister wanted to release a video in winter that connected their audience to Dublin City. We wanted to recreate the feeling of the song in a space, with a touch of surrealist storytelling throughout which brought the scene of the book shop to life, after hours.
THE IDEA
We shot the video at The Winding Stair, a small bookshop on the Dublin quays with a skeleton crew and lighting that enhanced the dreamlike atmosphere of the song and linked the narrative to Morgan’s experience of working in a bookshop - this is during the time that she wrote the song.
RESULT
The video ended up being the perfect balance of warmth and atmosphere that we wanted, and we are incredibly happy with how it came out. The video was part of a charity campaign for the Simon Community and has helped raise awareness and money for the homeless in Ireland.
