Over winter 2022, we went live with a set of projections at the River Boyne & the Solstice Arts Centre.
BRIEF
The goal was for the audience to stand on the banks of the River Boyne and get lost in the wonder of old Irish mythology.
THE IDEA
The pieces was inspired by the local area’s rich history; two installations on and near the river.
Both draw on mythological themes of Boann, the goddess of the River, alongside symbolism of hazelnut trees and the Salmon of Knowledge.
RESULT
Audiences gathered through the winter months to experience these novel scenes across the area – from urban spaces to open water.
Massive thanks due to the team that worked day and night to make this a reality, it was a feat of production that can’t be overstated. Melding technology on moving currents is no small task (not to mention in minus temperatures!)
